Composition of complete asphalt hot in place reclamation vehicles:
1. Hot air circulation Heaters
To avoid asphalt aging due to high temperature caused by heating, Heater adopts controllable high-pressure hot air circulation heating system to heat the asphalt pavement, which improves heat conducting efficiency of under-pavement, while controlling the temperature of the road surface to be less than 195, temperature at the depth of 4 cm depth up to about 85 . Meanwhile, hot air circulation minimizes the energy consumption.
2. Miller
After heated by air circulation system, miller mills the softened asphalt pavement and collects loosened material, then pushes the asphalt mixture towards the middle of the road, forming a bank, and successively adding metered regenerant and asphalt. At this moment the bank temperature is about 100 .
3. Remixer
New asphalt mixture according to designed composition are delivered to the ground bank evenly by the receiving hopper, recycling material and new material are reheated after been flattened and layered by the distributor; When layered heating, recycling material will form a larger heating area, thinner material layer, to quicken temperature increasing speed that up to 140, which also would be hard to age. Heated recycling material will be transported to the mixing tank through scraper hoist, then mixed thoroughly and delivered to the paver for paving. And finished by the roller according to prescribed standard, the traffic could be reopened as soon as the road surface temperature drops below 50.
Compared with the traditional method of construction, the old road materials can be completely reused, application of hot in-place recycling construction could save 70% of the repairing time, 50% of the operating personnel, saving 90% of the new asphalt mixture and 40% of maintenance cost.
